Word Games
Six word games in four languages — Chechen, Kazakh, Turkish, Azerbaijani
Android 7 and later · free + in-app
The language here is a playing field, not a textbook: a word is guessed, hunted down in a grid, built out of loose letters or taken from the player across the table. One app, four languages — it opens on the language of your phone and switches any time on the home screen.
Word of the day
Five letters, six tries. One word a day, the same for everyone playing that language, with its meaning revealed at the end.
Pairs
Match each word with what it means. Words come in themed sets — family, food, animals, nature, work, the road.
Wisdom of the day
A real proverb with one word taken out. Put it back, then read what the proverb is about.
Word search
Words hidden in a grid of letters, in all eight directions — diagonals and backwards included.
Make words
Dozens of words come out of one set of letters. Swipe across them; bonus words count too, even when they are not on the board.
Duel
Two players, one phone, turn by turn: a word battle on a 5×5 board, or a 60-second race on the same letters to see who finds more.
Beyond the six
The six games above are in all four languages. Past them the languages part ways: Chechen has four more — a vocabulary test on what stayed with you from the words you have met, Basics, The apt word and Opposites; Kazakh has the vocabulary test and Basics; Turkish has the vocabulary test.
Meanings travel with the word
Every word carries its translation, and so does the interface. The game works whether the language is your mother tongue, your family’s half-remembered one, or one you are starting from zero: it never asks about grammar, it puts a living word in front of you.
Words come from sources
Words, meanings and spelling were checked against dictionaries rather than scraped together; the proverbs are real and come with their explanation. Chechen has almost no games at all — and Kazakh, Turkish and Azerbaijani get the same six games and the same work on the dictionary, not a machine translation of an English puzzle.
A vocabulary test in the browser
A short measure built from the same dictionary material: the vocabulary tests in Chechen, Turkish and Kazakh. Sixty words, about five minutes, no app needed.
Free and purchase
Word of the day, wisdom of the day and the two-player duel are free forever. The other games are free for a long while, then a single purchase removes the counter — once, for all four languages at once, with no subscription.
